Who We Are

The mission of our organization aims to provide a feeling of encouragement and dignity with a splash of "Addictions N Me" by having an impact to give these adults and youth the confidence in themselves and wanting more. ANM hopes to add inspiration into whatever chapter of life that is worth looking forward to out weighing what was left behind.

Our Founder

ANM was founded by Shannon in 2014 . The idea of ANM was inspired while working as a corrections officer seeing ladies from the work release program leaving ungroomed was so unbelievable.

I came to realize the situation of being indigent and being in a low esteem atmosphere, the motivation they carried when walking out the doors of the jail was warranted.

Being able to build someone up instead of constant tearing them down in life, after being incarcerated giving them a new improved outlook. This with resources, hair style, cut, or makeup can be life changing.

Deciding to go full force after retiring 22 years at LMDC. This gave me more inspiration knowing that I have been a cosmetologist for over 30 years in Kentucky and Indiana. Building a place where women, , and youth girls can come for hygiene, grooming, educational and workforce assistance is ANM's goal.

What We Do

The skills that are very much needed to succeed in life we implement in our program for women, men and youth in Louisville, Ky. and surrounding counties and states. The ability to put your gifts into motion to give back in areas needed not only makes you see change, but it also helps the community your serving to change.

There are youth who get bullied due to clothing and physical appearance because their families can't afford luxuries. There are 13% of women and 87% men. incarcerated in the state of Kentucky. ANM can assist in helping by being a constant in the community for individuals who have this need that is not available year around. Men and women on work release, released from jail or drug treatment lack necessary resources . The ability to have a hub to come to for clothing, hygiene, grooming, housing, and job resources are a monumental stepping stone.

These necessities are needed continuously from day to day that lift up mentally and physically.

What we do is fit into the puzzle of missing pieces in the community. Helping our clients to become addicted to self and living a normal productive life.
